What is ice?

Withdrawal from benzodiazepines can occur for people who have been taking therapeutic or higher doses daily for two or more weeks.

Common symptoms of withdrawal from benzodiazepines include:

  • insomnia
  • anxiety
  • irritability and agitation
  • restlessness
  • depression
  • tremor
  • dizziness

Less common but more serious withdrawal symptoms are –

  • seizures/fits
  • delirium
