What is ice?

Mixing drugs, especially with alcohol, means added risks. It greatly increases the possibility of overdose and accidents.

Different drugs have different effects and there is no way to accurately predict how a combination of drugs will affect any individual.

The best advice is not to mix any drugs, including alcohol or prescription drugs.

Combining drugs can be dangerous even if you are using them a few hours apart, as different drugs stay in your system for different lengths of time and have different effects.

The reality is that no matter what a drug is sold as, or you think it is, it could contain any number or mixture of chemicals that then combine if you’re taking other drugs.

If you are planning on taking different drugs, limit the risks by knowing the effects and allowing time for one drug to wear off before you start another.

Many people use drugs to ‘come down’ from other drugs, but this increases your risk from combining and can complicate the withdrawal. The best way to come down is naturally with rest, relaxation, food and fluids. If you are concerned about your or someone else’s health at this time, see a doctor.
